Following Team Spirit's TI victory this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin appears to be more interested in the Dota scene. The politician, according to an alleged message, congratulates the Russian team on their first-ever victory at The International, proclaiming them the new Dota 2 World Champions. According to the community's translation, Putin states in his message, "You demonstrated bright leadership qualities." According to Putin, the grand final versus PSG.LGD had become "a real test of skill and character," which the Russian newcomers had won at the right point.
The Russian President is particularly pleased with Team Spirit's triumph since they are the first Russian team to win at The International, despite the fact that Natus Vincere's victory in 2011 was the first of the CIS area, but not specifically Russia.
Team Spirit may undoubtedly take pride in the Russian President's appreciation.
The new TI Champion has undoubtedly gained the admiration of the whole Dota scene, whether for national pride or for their magnificent Cinderella tale as the tournament's dark horse.
