DPC SEA 2021- 22 Tour is to begin soon. So, a lot of teams are considering making changes in their Dota 2 rosters. One such team that has already announced a change in its approach to building its all-Filipino roster is Omega Esports.
Omega Esports have announced their new roster, and much to the surprise of many, it isn't an all-Filipino roster like the previous ones. They have roped in some international players to bring a change in their roster-building approach.
They have brought Indonesian Ramzi โ€œRamzโ€ Bayhaki, Malaysian Liew Jun โ€œErenโ€ Jie and South Korean and The International veteran Lee โ€œForevsโ€ Sang-don into their team. Prince โ€œPrinceโ€ Daculan and Ryniel Kiet โ€œZenkiโ€ Calvez complete the roster. The latter two are the only remaining Filipino players on the roster.

Sri Lankan Shenal โ€œABโ€ Daniel will be the teamโ€™s analyst while Chris Ian โ€œCTYโ€ Francis Maldo was named as the head coach.
Omega's official announcement read, โ€œComprised of 7 individuals from across the globe, we are proud to introduce the Smart Omega โ€“ Dota 2 roster for the new DPC Season. We have confident that our new lineup can go head-to-head with the fully stacked SEA Upper Division this season.โ€
Omega Esports' roster is young when compared with the competitors. However, the Filipino-based team is confident that regardless of being young, the players have the ability to go head-to-head with the super-competitive SEA Upper Division.
And one player who will be key in deciding how far Omega can go in their quest is Forevs. Forevs is a veteran who has competed in The International twice with two different teams in 2016 and 2017. Omega will hope that Forevs' experience comes in handy when they take on against some of the heavyweights of the regions in OB EsportsxNeon, TNC Predator and Team SMG.
They continued, โ€œWe have confidence that our new lineup can go head-to-head with the fully stacked SEA Upper Division this season.โ€
