OB Esports x Neon announced the departure of Filipino player

With most teams disappointed by their recent showings and quite a few big names released from their rosters, we shall see a domino of transfers in the SEA Dota 2 scene.

OB Esports x Neon announced the departure of Filipino player Erin "Yopaj" Ferrer on Tuesday. Yopaj was the midlaner of the Dota 2 roster of the team from the Philippines. This departure comes right at the time when several prominent names have left their teams or retired, hinting towards a shuffling of talents in the Dota 2 scene in the region.

Neon Esports has not only seen their midlaner leave their roster. Flex player Andre "skem" Ong also parted ways with them on 27th August. Carry player John Anthony "Natsumi" Vargas left them in July. Yahoo News claims that he will be joining Adroit Esports.

Their lineup now has their team captain Jaunuel "Jaunuel" Arcilla, offlaner Michael "Roy" Ladines and their most recent acquisition Ravdan "Hastla" Narmandakh.

As aforesaid, many other teams have either already seen their players leave or will soon. One such team that seems to be revamping its roster is BOOM Esports. The Indonesian team has seen carry player Randy "Dreamocel" Sapoetra and position 4 support player Brizio "Hyde" Putra leave while position 5 support Alfi "Khezcute" Nelphyana has retired from competitive play.

Only midlaner Rafli "Mikoto" Rahman and offlaner Saieful "Fbz" Ilham remain with the official BOOM Esports lineup.
These clear-outs and revamps from several big teams are what many see as a reaction to lacklustre displays in The International 10 (TI10) qualifiers by these teams. While BOOM Esports finished third, Neon Esports had to do with the fifth-to-sixth place. Other teams expected to change their lineups are Fnatic, TNC Predator, Execration and Team SMG.

Fnatic would want to get some of the better free players to join them for the T10 world championship, while the likes of BOOM Esports, Neon Esports, Execration and Team SMG look to improve themselves before the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit.

TNC Predator's case is a bit unique. They have been regulars to the world championship. However, they failed to qualify for T10. Predator is a talented setup with some of the finest players in the region. However, they will find it difficult to hold on to their core team. Like "Natsumi", "Bok", and "Bommy" are expected to be rejoining Adroit Esports. With the DPC schedule yet to be out, most of the moves shall unfold slowly.
